Bicester - Great Witley - Cheltenham Bicester. 196km

Launched late into a terrible sky. Started as soon as we could get to altitude and staggered up to the first turning point. Working a height band between 1100-2500ft. Nimbus 3 kept appearing 300ft above us. Really irritating! Nearly had a mid air with an ASW15 when he didn't spot the ASH, but I was keeping an eye on him so dived to avoid. Almost managed to climb onto final glide before having to go into a field in the middle of the Cotswolds. Should have been OK, but didn't spot a sheep fence across the field and had to pull up over it. Stalled into the field and caught a wing. Ground looped but luckily no damage. After thinking we had done terribly, a bit of a shock at briefing the next morning to discover we had come 3rd
